This one cave in France, Rouffignac, has 70% (158) of all the known
contemporary depictions of wooly mammoths. It also has art of 11 wooly
rhinos, 16 horses, 29 wisent, 12 ibex and what looks like a little boy.
By examining these prehistoric drawings, we can better understand the
relationship between early humans and the megafauna they lived
alongside.
