The Anglo-Saxons and English Identity

This was a fantastic symposium. I thank you as a fellow Anglo-Saxon whose family came to America in 1670. Oddly enough my name is that of the Sea God Wade and my grandfather would say," Bloody well hell." I don't know if that was a linguistic hold over or it came from friends of his while working in the mines? Interesting though that my family would hold on through naming to it's Anglo-Saxon heritage.

Soooo much of our American Culture is Anglo-American. You can't escape it. I don't even see England as our sister country--it's like our mother that gave birth to America as it is today.
